Ocean Fun
I hope everybody is enjoying the start of Teacher's Appreciation Week. I have been downloading lots of free stuff all day long. We're still working on our insect unit. Between swimming and assemblies, we have gotten very behind. We have made dragonflies, fireflies, ladybugs, butterflies, praying mantises, ants and bees. I'll try and take pictures and post them during the week. I have some ocean activities that I was planning on using next week but will have to wait for another week.
I made 2 shelling around games one up to 20 and one up to 30.

HI,
ReplyDeleteThese are going to be wonderful We are starting our ocean unit this week. I don't know how to play shelling around and hope you will explain it to me. I know it should be obvious, but I am not sure.

Terry, you can either make it a table center or a write the room center. The children count how many shells are on each card and then write it on the answer sheet. The idea is that they recognize that when the tens frame is full, they have 10.
